We would like to introduce a case study of how Kawahara Construction Co., Ltd. utilized Autodesk's BIM/CIM package software "Architecture, Engineering & Construction Collection (AEC Collection)." <Overview> We precisely modeled the stone masonry revetment along the Yamagunikawa River, which takes into account the natural landscape, as well as the revetment and sluice structures, using AutoCAD Civil 3D. This model was widely used for discussions on changes with the client, community briefings, and public relations activities. Why did we choose Civil 3D among many 3D modeling software options? We would like to introduce a case study of Asahi Consultant Co., Ltd. utilizing Autodesk's BIM/CIM package software, "Architecture, Engineering & Construction Collection (AEC Collection)." <Overview> Since 2020, Asahi Consultant has begun to fully utilize BIM/CIM, primarily with young employees. When using 2D CAD, the accuracy was poor, and it took about 30 days, including reviews from supervisors, but with Civil 3D, this was significantly reduced to around 14 days. Structural design is said to require expert skills, but how have young employees managed to handle difficult design tasks? We would like to introduce a case study in which Eight Japan Technology Co., Ltd. utilized Autodesk's BIM/CIM package software, "Architecture, Engineering & Construction Collection (AEC Collection)." <Overview> Eight Japan Technology Development established a CIM Promotion Committee in September 2016 and, within less than a year, conducted four pilot projects, presenting the results at "Autodesk University Japan" hosted by Autodesk. Although BIM/CIM is considered difficult to implement due to cost and technical issues, how did they successfully achieve short-term implementation? We would like to introduce a case study of how Central Nippon Expressway Company Limited utilized Autodesk's BIM/CIM package software, "Architecture, Engineering & Construction Collection (AEC Collection)." <Overview> NEXCO Central Japan began implementing CIM in 2017, applying it to projects such as congestion countermeasures for the Kobito Tunnel on the Chuo Expressway and earthworks for the New Tomei Expressway. Moving forward, they plan to fully adopt ICT civil engineering, significantly changing the productivity of highway construction and maintenance through CIM, including IoT-based maintenance management for approximately 2000 km of expressways. <Implementation Results> Please refer to the PDF document for more details.
